Open Lab Night: A BSU event for the community, including K-12 students |
Dear Families, Our week was difficult at first, but it got easier. One reason it was hard is we started finding perimeter with missing sides. It was a little difficult at first, but it got easier by the end of the week after we practiced. We had to draw a quadrilateral with a perimeter of 40, then 50, and finally 24 units. Do you think you could do this? Another reason our week was challenging is we started Reading about the Pilgrims and worked on a packet with our 4:00 partners. Each chapter has hard questions, but if you know your facts it gets easier to complete. The final reason it was a hard week, we are doing a strategy called A.C.E. This strategy helps us answer Open Response questions. A means answer the ?. C means cite the evidence and E means expand and explain your answer. Finally, by the end of the week, it got easier and easier to do perimeter, A.C.E, and the Pilgrim reading packet. Your blogger friends, Lauren and Kanav |
This week we have been doing lots of experiments! On Tuesday we did an experiment to see how people settle in new groups. So far the experiment has gone pretty well. The groups are made up of eight people. There are three groups. We also have to keep our desks clean. Gabe and I, Juliet, think everyone likes their new groups.

Has our class been working hard this week?...Cha-Ching! Yes we have. First, earlier in the week, we got our money banks. Whenever we use GRIT * and keep working hard, Mrs Webster pays us! Next in gym class we learned how to keep the soccer ball under control. Our class is still a little bit clumsy with keeping the ball under control, but we aren't giving up. Then, all of us completely finished our square one art. This happened on the same day as Smiley Face Day! Everyone in our class wore yellow and SMILES! Ask Mrs. Webster if you don't believe us! Finally, everyone in the class has worked hard this week and earned lots of money and Reward TIme for our efforts.
