Testing instructions will begin around 9:30am. All students must be in the room when the testing begins. Tardy students will not be allowed to enter the classroom once the testing begins!
Tips For Supporting Your Child During testing Week
Ensure your child is Present and On Time during testing
(students generally perform better when taking tests in their own groups rather than at a Make-Up session time)
Help your child get to bed on time and gets a good night's sleep
(Research shows that being well rested helps students do better)
Make sure your child has a good Breakfast and send in an extra healthy, high protein snack on testing days.
(Students will start their day with a snack prior to the test! Fuel for their brain!)
Help resolve immediate arguments before going to bed
and plan ahead to avoid conflicts on the morning of the test. Try to make the morning on the test a pleasant one. Do not add to your child's stress.
Keep your routine as normal as possible, upsetting natural routines can make children feel insecure
Mention the test to show that youare interested, but don't dwell on it!
Finally, if your child is disappointed after taking the test, reassure him or her that there will be plenty of oppertunities to improve and succeed!
Here's hoping that they all do their best and "show what they know!" That's all we can ask!
I am so proud of them!
