I'm not sure about you, but I thoroughly enjoyed staying in my pajamas all day on Black Friday, listening to holiday music, and putting up decorations. I'm not one for huge crowds, so the thought of getting out of bed, standing in long lines, and freezing my toes off does not appeal to me at all.
If you're like me and still have some shopping to do...you might be interested in today's blog.
Today I stumbled upon one of my favorite Literacy Blogs, Imagination Soup. I thought I would share with you the links incase you are looking for a new holiday picture book or gift ideas for the reader/writer in your family. Technology is changing the way we live our lives, but one thing holds true...the best way to become a better reader or writer is to read and write DAILY! Give the gift of Literacy and it will always be the perfect choice.
Coincidentally, our latest "Holiday Book" project is rolling out today and will be due in class by Monday Dec. 10th. We realize this is one of the busiest times of the year, so the expectation for the AT HOME portion of the assignment is minimal. In class the students will be drafting and rewriting the final paragraph as well as creating a book jacket to go along with their favorite Holiday picture book. (First two pages are to be completed at home, Disregard the 3rd page of the outline linked above, this will be the in class writing portion)
